Kurt Dodge

Partner, Accountant and Director of Operations

Upon graduating from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Kurt began working in Public Accounting at a boutique accounting firm in Lincoln, NE. The firm specialized in providing accounting and tax services to small businesses throughout the area. He was also responsible for the onboarding process for clients using QuickBooks.

In 2013, Kurt relocated to Scottsdale. Upon completing all four sections of the CPA Exam, he began working as a Corporate Accountant at a publicly traded REIT in the Phoenix area. His primary responsibility was preparing various sales tax returns, and financial reporting. His in-depth knowledge on balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements allowed for his promotion to Senior Accountant.

Kurt’s clients include serving as Controller of a $35Million family owned company in Scottsdale. Kurt has a passion of helping small to medium sized business owners succeed through strategic planning involving taxes, entity formation, and financial reporting. Responsible for full cycle accounting of the company, Kurt not only prepares financial statements through detailed bookkeeping, but also analyzes it. This allows for the business owner to make informed decisions for long term growth.

An avid Husker fan, Kurt enjoys college football Saturdays and making trips back to Nebraska to see family and friends.

Patricia Clark


Pat possesses more than 30 years of experience of working in diverse financial positions with multiple companies, as well as servicing the accounting needs of several small businesses. Pat has earned a reputation as a self-directed professional with excellent accounting, financial, communication, analytical, and management skills. As a resourceful problem solver, Pat has a proven ability to conceptualize solutions to challenging situations and maximize success. Key accounting and financial competencies include, but are not limited to, maintaining financial records, managing budgets, risk assessments and business strategy reviews.

Pat supports the partners in many roles within Provident Accounting Services, LLP. Her vast experience allows her to service our clients with all of their accounting needs. She services our client with efficiency and accuracy from bookkeeping services and tax returns to complex outsourced controller level work. We are grateful to have a such a talented team member on our staff.

Pat has lived in Arizona for over 25 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting in Illinois and has held positions in the accounting field for over three decades. Pat is a devoted mother and grandmother of 13 grandchildren. She is a loyal supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness and has participated in the Susan G Komen 60-mile breast cancer walk of the past 15 years. Pat has also worked with other local charities such as the Wounded Warriors Fund, local Food Banks, SAAF, AZ Foster Care Programs and many others.


Michael Velasco

Partner, Director of Sales, and Business Coach

Michael Velasco runs the sales and business coaching division of Provident Accounting Services, LLP. Michael has an extensive background in growing businesses and creating the systems and accountabilities that create profitability.   With 21 years in business management and over 14 years’ experience in the real estate industry (over 1300 closed real estate transactions), Michael is a proven business leader in the Valley.

Michael’s resume includes TPT, Payroll and local tax code experience, CRM implementation and customer follow up systems, click ad and social media digital marketing implementation, construction and building/permit codes, sales management, warehouse logistics management, property management, legal expert witness courtroom experience, property rehabilitation, flip projects, contract for deed and alternative financing expertise, extensive experience with Short Sales and REO property working from some of the largest banks in the country including Fannie Mae, Countrywide, Bank of America, and Chase. Michael also founded a Real Estate Photography company in 2015 that has generated nearly 1M in sales in 4 years. In 2012 he started the Redefy franchise in Phoenix. In 3 short years with Redefy, he led a startup company to the #22 Real Estate Team in the state, and helped lay the foundation to take Redefy to a publicly traded company. After a corporate buyout with Redefy in 2017, Michael co-founded the Flat Fee Team where he is now the #5 real estate agent in the brokerage out of 2200 agents.  Michael has also started up 3 other companies including a real estate coaching and continuing education school.

Michael has a passion for coaching business owners and brings energy and motivation to our clients that will push the business owners to the highest level of productivity and profitability.

Michael has a bachelor’s degree in Management from Colorado Christian University. Michael Resides in Old Town Scottsdale!
